During a trip to Sri Lanka, I spent two nights at Long Beach Hotel in Galle, a coastal city in south of country. This hotel faces a long beach, so rooms of entire hotel are also scattered along beach, which is very long. In a room with a sea view, open curtains, you will see sea, open balcony door, and on built-in balcony there are small round tables and chairs that are specially arranged to watch sea. Maybe room was not airtight enough, you can still hear sound of roaring waves when you close balcony door, but it doesn’t matter, impact is not very big, you come to beach, you come to wide sea and noise of oncoming waves.

The beach in front of hotel where I live is long and narrow, light sand is fine and soft, there is nothing artificially erected on beach, everything is natural. I had nothing to do that day, so I just sat on balcony of my room, brewed famous branded Ceylon black tea there and watched sea in rain, which was quite interesting.

It's just a pity that because of bad weather I didn't see sunset there. People there said that sunset in Halle is very beautiful, especially to watch sunset in old castle, falling into sea in time, and then sky is full of multi-colored clouds, which is very magnificent.

Although we did not have time to admire sunset, we accidentally saw a mirage in afternoon, which can be regarded as a kind of compensation. The rain stopped at this time, driver came and took me to a Chinese restaurant, and introduced weather in Galle, saying that it always rains before full moon, and it stops after full moon, and that day was Mid-Autumn Festival night, so it was raining, and after this day will be sunny. There's a holiday in county like our Mid-Autumn Festival, but it's called Full Moon Festival. On way back to hotel after dinner, we saw a fiery red sunset outside car window. We said goodbye to driver at entrance to hotel and hurried to beach. Many have already managed to take pictures there and capture beautiful landscape.
