My travels abroad (5) Trip to Indonesia and Thailand

In March 2004, equipment used by company needed to be imported due to a technological transformation project. This is normal, and proper benefits were received, company decided to investigate.

A total of 5 people were checked, headed by general director and one head of regional department of 5 people. In addition to general director, company also had a deputy general director, head of production site, me, an agent for escort and translation, and time of check was 8 days., first to Indonesia and then to Thailand. For this test, I used a private hujao. Since 2001, even if I go on a business trip, considering convenience, I do not need a permit, so I usually use a private hujao when I go abroad.

After arriving in Jakarta, capital of Indonesia, we immediately went to equipment manufacturer located in suburbs of Jakarta, accompanied by an agent, and learned more about use of equipment, quality of products produced, and after-sales service of equipment manufacturer. The situation, and checked operation of equipment on site, and had a detailed understanding of general condition of equipment.

Our group is more relaxed after doing main research task and rest of time we can take a look at Jakarta, Indonesia, but hotel reminds us that in connection with last year, that is, after Jakarta Marriott Hotel Incident in August 2003. The situation was relatively tense and we are invited to go out if we have nothing to do, so we just look outside and appreciate style of this thousand islands. country nearby.

    Watermark in Jakarta

Jakarta is a city with a strong contrast between tradition and modernity, rich and poor. Looking down from height of hotel, you can see low-rise tiled-roof houses interspersed among high-rise buildings, asphalt avenues intersect with blue alleys, and luxurious and luxurious hotels side by side with noisy and crowded villages. All of this suggests that Jakarta also needs a better urban vision as it seeks to develop its economy.

We also visited tallest building in Jakarta, National Liberation Monument. Self-cultivation and a relentless spirit. In addition, I also visited Jakarta Miniature Park. The miniature park is located on outskirts of Jakarta and covers an area of 100 hectares. Here you can learn about islands of Indonesia in one day. The park covers cultural and architectural features of these places. Here we saw strange houseboats --- South Sulawesi houseboats, as well as unique structures such as horn houses that can be seen as glimpses of leopards, and we saw traditions and cultures of various ethnic groups in Indonesia. It is a pity that there is no time to travel to such sights as Bali.

We only stayed in Indonesia for three days before heading to Thailand. In Bangkok, similarly, we also work first and come to another equipment manufacturer. After work is completed, you can enjoy beauties of Thailand by way.

In Bangkok, we mainly visited Siam Square and Grand Palace in Bangkok. The Grand Palace is located at confluence of Chao Phraya and Chao Phraya rivers, near Chao Phraya River. It consists of a group of buildings with a well-organized layout. It is Siamese style and combines essence of Thai painting, sculpture and arts and crafts. The palace buildings are mostly white, surrounded by white palace walls. The palace wall has a height of about 5m and a total length of 1900m. The main buildings include Amarin Palace, Jieji Palace, Dusit Palace and Jade Buddha Temple. The buildings are very distinctive.

In Thailand, except for Bangkok, we mostly traveled to Pattaya. Pattaya Beach has more than ten kilometers of beaches that are not only calm and even, but also snow-white as silver. In Pattaya, in addition to beach, we also visited Thai-language Sifang Floating Market, about 5 kilometers east of Pattaya City. This floating market is named after combining characteristics of four regional floating markets in east, west, northeast and south of Thailand. The inland waterways are vertical and horizontal, and wooden buildings on water are unique in style. At water market, you can not only have snacks from all over Thailand, but also buy special products and handicrafts from different parts of Thailand. I remember we all bought some little things there, CEO bought a small stone mortar with stone sticks. I also bought a small stone stick that is specially used for rolling dumpling wrappers, it is same color as amber and looks very beautiful. We took a small canoe, rocking in floating market, cruising between bridges and pavilions, and fully experienced and felt floating market.

In Pattaya, we also tried real Thai anmo, ate real Thai food and watched a ladyboy show. We deeply realized that Pattaya by day is a beach with blue sea, silvery sand and sunshine. The city by night is a boiling place. The streets are full of feasting lights and stage is full of grotesque lights.

In general, Thailand is rich in tourism resources and is a good place.
