    Imagine walking through a thousand-year-old church listening to bells ringing and watching sunset over Mediterranean. From magnificent cathedrals to beaches, from medieval castles to charming towns, Spain is most visited country in world.

    Spain has a great climate, but not always warm.

    When you think of Spain, most people think of bright sun and warm beaches. In fact, only southernmost regions, as well as Balearic and Canary Islands, have a warm climate all year round. On islands like Mallorca, sun shines even in December, but weather can be a little chilly in winter.

    Most of country has four seasons, and winters can be very cold. Temperatures in Granada are below freezing and sometimes it even snows.

    But it's true, in winter, spring or autumn you can count on sun to always be there. It is always sunny in Granada, so regardless of season, sit in sun and enjoy your meal.

    While summer can be unseasonably hot (over 40°C), we are only a 40-minute drive from beach and city has plenty of pools to relax in.

    Spanish houses are beautiful, but not for winter.

    I'm sure you've seen photos of beautiful rustic whitewashed houses perched on hilltops in Spanish medieval villages. Lots of places in Granada, especially Albaicín area in city center. There is so much history and charm in these houses, but unfortunately they were not built for cold.

    Not only these old houses, but most apartments, new and old, have single-glazed windows, poor insulation, and marble or tile floors, making interior feel same cold outside. .

    Summer is great for me because temperature inside house is much cooler than outside, but winter sucks. Even in heat, I usually wear warm clothes and sweaters at home in winter.

    Beautiful Spanish?

    If you know Spaniards, you know that in everyday communication they tend to openly use colloquial speech. Words like "coño" (cunt) do not have an extremely vulgar meaning and are therefore often used by Spaniards.

    Spanish: includes expressive gestures full of energy, passion and emotion. They use one word for everything - one Spanish word can translate a whole sentence into English.

    It's a difficult language to learn, but once you become fluent, you'll be warmly welcomed and treated like a friend.
