    Why is the space song "Izlel e Delio Haidutin" most famous song in world? The Bulgarian folk song of Valya Balkanska "Izlel e Delio Haydutin" is still traveling in space. Both NASA spacecraft, Voyager 1 and Voyager 2, carry copies of her song, the finest musical piece of civilization on earth.

    Known for its folklore, opera singers and musicians, Bulgaria is particularly proud of its rich folklore tradition. Folk music and dances, national costumes and traditional rituals play an important role in life of Bulgarians. In each town and village, folk holidays and Christian holidays are celebrated in a special way.

    3. Bulgarian bagpipe

    Gaida (Gaida) is name of Bulgarian bagpipe, which is favorite musical instrument of Bulgarians. In May 2012, 333 Bulgarian pipers performed a nine-minute folk song. They set a world record for playing bagpipes, listed in Guinness Book of Records.

    4. Nodding

    When you ask Bulgarians a question, their answers confuse you. In this country, nodding head up and down indicates a negative reaction, and horizontal head shaking actually means "no". Funny moments when locals talk to foreigners, they often go halfway, changing movements.

    If these reasons are not enough to visit Bulgaria, in winter try skiing on well-developed slopes of Bansko or Borovets. During summer, you can relax on golden sands of Sunshine Beach. You can also explore capital Sofia, the medieval capital Veliko Tarnovo or 2019 cultural capital Plovdiv.
