#VIAGGIODASOLAPERCHÉ (I’m a solo traveller because…) originated as a hashtag on Twitter one evening. The aim was to invite women to tell the many reasons why they want or feel the need to embark on a solo journey. Starting from that hashtag we came up with the idea of collecting their stories. Sharing our experiences and our inner journeys helps to get in touch and relate to each other, to inspire ourselves, thus creating an ever broader and crowded network of women travelling alone.
Do you have the inclination for solo travels? Are you travelling right now and willing to share your mood? Have you just finished a trip and can’t stop thinking about it? There are many motivations for travelling alone, which is yours?
Send your story, tell us about yourself and about your adventures. Use the hashtag #VIAGGIODASOLAPERCHÉ on your favourite social networks, connect to Facebook and join the group (Italian). You’ll find a network of women who like travelling alone or would like to start. Together you can exchange tips, stories, experiences, find the impetus to go by yourself or maybe meet new travel companions.

How to send your story? Follow the instructions below and click send!
1. Less is more…
Write your story at your own pace and style but don’t overdo it, 500/600 words are enough to convey an emotion.
2. Complete the sentence
At any point along your story enter and complete the sentence “I’m a solo traveller because…”. Imagine that it should be contained in a 140-character tweet. This will be the key point of your story, the distinctive feature which distinguishes it from the others.
3. Face out
Send us 3 or 4 pictures of your travel, the places you visited and the people you met. Don’t forget to include one of you travelling. The photos should be high/medium resolution (at least 1600 × 800 px).
4. Send us your story
Send your story to storie@viaggiodasolaperche.com. We’ll reply and let you know when it will be published. We’ll also share your story on our social networks.
5. Remember
